Javonte Williams Leads Backfield

Broncos RB Javonte Williams rushed a team-leading 9 times for 59 yards and 1 score in Sunday’s win over Atlanta. Audric Estime mixed in with 6 attempts for 16 yards.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Williams started Sunday’s game, giving him the first crack at developing the hot hand. That’s just what happened, as he busted off chunks gains of 10, 15, and 14 yards in the first half -- the latter touch going for a TD.

Sunday was expected to turn up another game with Estime as the lead back, but instead, he played a backup role. His second carry didn’t arrive until the third quarter, while the rookie also had a 10-yard catch called back on a penalty.

This backfield figures to remain fluid going forward. But for now, Williams will project as Denver’s lead back next week at Vegas. Consider him an RB2 or FLEX for that one.
