The Bears on Saturday placed S Jaquan Brisker on IR for the concussion that had already cost him four games (with a bye week mixd in). That'll keep Brisker sidelined at least through Week 14 and S Elijah Hicks starting in his place.
GM Ryan Poles: "It just wasn't making the progress that we wanted. We also know from a performance standpoint, when you're out of football for a while, there has to be a ramp up period to get your body in shape, to play the game and avoid other injuries such as soft tissue injuries. So we're going to hit the pause button, make sure that he's in a good space. ... Would love to see him back this year, but we're just going to take it one week at a time."
Brisker is fine to drop in redraft IDP leagues, if you haven't already done so. Poles' words indicate that we can't even be confident the safety will be ready to play come Week 15.
We'll see about Brisker's outlook for the longer term.
