Justin Fields Excels on the Ground

Steelers QB Justin Fields managed only 145 passing yards in Sunday's blowout win over Las Vegas. But he delivered for fantasy managers with 59 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.

What They're Saying

Here's HC Mike Tomlin on Fields' performance:

"I thought he did a nice job, particularly making some things happen with his legs, managing the circumstances and taking care of the ball," Tomlin said. "Obviously, he took a few hits, but he's a tough guy. I'm glad he's okay and we'll keep moving."

Fields wasn’t helped by a couple of drops, but he really came through near the goal line. One TD came on a designed rollout/run; the other on a goal line scramble.

The former Bear has now hit 17 fantasy points in four straight outings. We’ll see if he earns another start next Sunday against the Jets – but we’d be surprised if Tomlin pivots to Russell Wilson for that one.

One thing to note going forward: Pittsburgh’s O-line remains ravaged by injuries. Against Vegas, second-string C Zach Frazier suffered what looked like a multi-week ankle injury.

The Steelers are already without key linemen Troy Fautanu and James Daniels for the remainder of the season.
