ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that "there remains uncertainty over the extent" of Chiefs WR Rashee Rice's knee injury. Rice had additional testing on the knee on Monday and consulted with team doctors, but "more tests are required to determine the full extent of Rice’s injury and his recovery timeline," according to Schefter. "No answers are expected until next week."
Consider this encouraging news. As former NFL head team Dr. David Chao tweeted, "when it comes to ACL injuries, no definitive news of tear is considered good news."
Rice owners will now need to hang on to him through this week's waiver run. But that's a small price to pay for the chance of getting Rice back at some point this season.
